How do we build place-based resilience? Local governance and funding is fragmented - leaders isolated, lessons unshared. Without peer networks, place-based resilience becomes difficult to sustain. Approach • Designed and facilitated leadership courses embedding community-led design principles into local governance. • Synthesised data into actionable insights, creating learning reports to shape future levelling-up / funding schemes. • Built peer networks that shifted collaboration from optional to essential. Impact • Embedded resilience frameworks driven by shared learning, not isolated expertise. • Fostered community-led governance, ensuring decisions reflected local complexity and collective intelligence (bringing in broad perspectives of a local area) • Strengthened local resilience ecosystems, capable of withstanding the systemic shocks of the future.
